Work Environment

The Physical Therapist role is based in our vibrant outpatient office located in Norfolk, Virginia, a community known for its rich history and welcoming atmosphere. In this onsite position, therapists collaborate closely in a supportive and progressive environment, utilizing state-of-the-art facilities and equipment aimed at enhancing patient recovery and outcomes. Our flexible work hours from Monday to Thursday (3 PM to 7 PM) and a half-day on Friday allow for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Heal and Revive, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive screenings, tests, and evaluations to create individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to diagnose and treat a wide range of injuries, diseases, and disabilities affecting physical functionality.
• Educate patients and their caregivers about therapy procedures, expected outcomes, and self-management strategies, fostering an empowering atmosphere for recovery.
• Provide tailored therapy services across all age groups: neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, ensuring appropriate care for each demographic.
• Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge through continuous education and by attending workshops relevant to your practice.
• Document all patient interactions thoroughly and in a timely manner, adhering to facility regulations and best practices for record-keeping.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to guarantee seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
• Supervise and mentor physical therapy assistants and students, ensuring adherence to high standards of care.
• Engage in program development and marketing strategies to enhance our service offerings and community outreach.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient demographic includes a broad spectrum of individuals, from young children needing developmental support to elderly patients requiring rehabilitation from surgeries or chronic conditions. You will be equipped to meet diverse needs through your clinical expertise and compassionate approach, ensuring each patient receives personalized and effective treatment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required; Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred.
• A proven clinical background with at least two years of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction.
• The physical capability to perform job duties, including lifting, bending, manual dexterity, and other physical tasks.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with additional certifications, specialty training, or experience treating specific patient populations will be favored. Experience with outcome measurement tools to assess and improve patient satisfaction and recovery rates is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
