Job Description As a Security Officer Unarmed Shopping Center Patrol Site Inspection in Costa Mesa, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail and mall location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with visitors and team members while supporting a welcoming environment. Position Type: Full Time / Swing Shift Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeTue03:00 PM - 11:30 PMWed03:00 PM - 11:30 PMThur03:00 PM - 11:30 PMFri03:00 PM - 11:30 PMSat03:00 PM - 11:30 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or client representatives by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, entrances, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas to help to deter unauthorized activity. Monitor for unusual conditions, policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns, and promptly notify appropriate personnel. Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while communicating professionally with the public and client representatives. Minimum Requirements: A Guard Card/License is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
