Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments, identifying patient needs to develop individualized treatment plans.

• Providing individual, family, and group therapy, utilizing evidence-based methodologies tailored to meet diverse needs and cultural backgrounds.

• Coordinating care by connecting patients with appropriate services and resources within the community, ensuring continuity of care.

• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers, to deliver holistic treatment approaches.

• Maintaining thorough and clear clinical documentation for treatment plans and progress notes, ensuring compliance with established policies.

• Participating in treatment team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient progress and facilitate team-based decision-making.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily serve adult and geriatric populations with a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and relational challenges. There are opportunities for engagement with child and adolescent populations in the future. You will utilize your skills to foster trust and rapport with patients, creating a safe space for open dialogue and therapeutic exploration. Qualifications\n

We are looking for an individual who possesses the following qualifications and skills:

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.

• Current and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.

• Strong understanding of various psychological theories and clinical models, enabling effective treatment planning.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to develop trusting therapeutic relationships.

• Experience with medical record documentation in compliance with healthcare standards and confidentiality guidelines.

• Knowledge of local community resources, including mental health services, educational support, and vocational assistance.

• Ability to perform thorough mental status exams and recognize shifts in patient condition.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, previous experience in community mental health settings or working with diverse populations is highly valued. Familiarity with telehealth practices is preferred, ensuring you can deliver care effectively in a virtual environment. Knowledge of case management and advocacy skills is also beneficial in this role.

Compensation and Benefits\n
