Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver engaging mindfulness-based interventions, including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), to support clients in reducing stress and enhancing their overall quality of life.

• Conduct initial assessments to thoroughly understand each client’s unique challenges, stressors, and goals, tailoring mindfulness practices to fit their individual needs.

• Guide clients through a variety of mindfulness practices, including meditation, focused breathing techniques, and self-reflection exercises, promoting self-awareness and emotional regulation.

• Facilitate group workshops focused on mindfulness and resilience-building strategies, creating a communal atmosphere for personal growth and shared experiences.

• Integrate mindfulness techniques into individual therapy sessions, addressing specific mental health concerns while also supporting overall client development.

• Collaborate with fellow therapists and healthcare professionals to create comprehensive treatment plans that effectively employ mindfulness practices.

• Keep detailed documentation of client progress, interventions used, and treatment plans to track the effectiveness of the therapeutic process.

• Engage in your own personal mindfulness practice and commit to ongoing professional development to enhance your skills in MBSR and broader therapeutic techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

We serve a diverse patient population, offering services to adults and adolescents grappling with a range of mental health issues—including but not limited to anxiety, depression, and stress-related disorders. Our clients seek assistance in cultivating mindfulness, improving emotional resilience, and achieving personal goals through effective coping strategies and therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW-C, LCPC, or LMFT in Maryland.

• Proficiency in integrating mindfulness practices into therapeutic settings.

• Exceptional communication skills that facilitate a calming therapeutic atmosphere and foster strong client relationships.
