Work Environment\n

This remote role offers flexibility while still providing the collaborative atmosphere of a community health clinic. You will engage virtually with colleagues, share insights, and participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies. Our work schedule typically runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts depending on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for children and adolescents to identify their specific psychological needs and challenges.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that consider the individual’s developmental stage, family dynamics, and cultural background.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to various mental health concerns, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, and family therapy.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower and support parents and caregivers in fostering a nurturing and supportive home environment.

• Collaborate extensively with child psychiatrists and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive and cohesive care for each patient.

• Provide crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies and guide families through these challenging situations.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, available treatment options, and useful community resources.
\n
• Keep detailed and confidential records in alignment with ethical and legal standards using our electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Actively participate in continuous professional development, team meetings, and case consultations to stay current with best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry.

• Research and apply new evidence-based practices to enhance treatment strategies and improve patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with children and adolescents, addressing mental health disorders that significantly impact their everyday lives. Our clients include those experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, and various behavioral challenges that require thoughtful, evidence-based interventions. By establishing strong rapport with your clients, you can effectively guide them through their mental health journeys and enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Currently valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Texas.

• Thorough understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, as well as evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Proven experience in providing therapy, both individual and family-focused, to young patients.

• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and child-centered approach.

• Ability to establish trust and understanding with children, adolescents, and their families.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) platforms and proficiency in navigating computer applications relevant to clinical practice.

• Proficiency in working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
