Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Center Light Counseling Center, your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of client mental health needs, which includes thorough diagnostic evaluations to inform treatment decisions.

• Providing individual counseling sessions to clients coping with a range of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma, and substance abuse disorders.

• Facilitating group therapy sessions that may vary from support groups to educational workshops, fostering a safe environment for shared experiences and collective healing.

• Developing personalized treatment plans that set achievable goals, tailored interventions, and regular progress reviews to ensure client engagement and effective outcomes.

• Responding to client crises with prompt support, conducting risk assessments, and facilitating emergency interventions in collaboration with appropriate services.

• Engaging in continuous professional development through workshops, seminars, and training to stay abreast of the latest therapeutic modalities and mental health trends.

• Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to create a holistic support system for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with diverse patient populations, including children, adolescents, and adults, each presenting varying degrees of mental health challenges. Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A master's or doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution is required.

• A valid and active license to practice as a mental health counselor in New York State.

• Completion of at least three years of supervised clinical experience, aligning with state regulations for practice.

Compensation and Benefits\n
