Lively Mental Health and Behavioral Center is currently seeking a compassionate and driven Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team. In this full-time position, you will be instrumental in providing therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families facing mental health challenges. The role is primarily remote but requires engagement with our outpatient office in Oceanside, California, ensuring flexibility and accessibility for both you and our patients.

Work Environment\n

The work setting is largely remote, providing you the flexibility to manage your schedule effectively. While the position aligns with a standard work week from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, some flexibility may be necessary to accommodate patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to understand and evaluate patients' psychological needs, ensuring the development of effective and personalized treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including but not limited to cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, while adjusting modalities to fit individual cases.

• Lead psychoeducational and support groups aimed at addressing common concerns related to mental health, promoting learning and recovery through shared experiences.
\n
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members such as psychiatrists and psychologists, ensuring coordinated and comprehensive care for our patients.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention services when necessary, offering immediate support during acute mental health situations.
\n
• Educate patients on their mental health conditions, available treatment options, and additional community resources to empower their journey towards wellness.
\n
• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring transparency and accountability.
\n
• Engage in continuous professional development by participating in case consultations and team meetings, staying informed about the latest research in mental health therapies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our patients come from diverse backgrounds, seeking help for a myriad of mental health challenges. This role provides you with the opportunity to work with individuals experiencing various disorders, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. You will play a critical role in facilitating their recovery journeys through individualized care and a strong therapeutic alliance.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in the state of California.

• Strong understanding of mental health disorders and effective treatment strategies.
\n
• Proven capability in conducting mental health assessments and crafting personalized treatment plans.
\n
• Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy, preferably to a diverse clientele.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interactions.
\n
• Commitment to professional ethics and maintaining boundaries within a therapeutic setting.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage patient documentation efficiently.

• A collaborative mindset that thrives in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health setting is strongly preferred.

• Experience working with diverse populations, particularly in a community-based or outpatient environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
