Title Communications Coordinator Location Chicago, IL Employment Type Contract Compensation Pay Range: $22.05-$31.50 per hour Description Located in Chicago, IL, this contract position involves supporting a communications team. Responsibilities include creating and managing content across various media platforms. Candidates should have experience in communications, public relations, or marketing, and be familiar with project management and content creation tools. Support the communications team targeting internal and external audiences. Exhibit professionalism and uphold the mission and vision of the organization. Coordinate and support cross-functional teams through administration and content management. Create written, editorial, and visual content to demonstrate value to members and communities. Manage events calendar and generate social media content for member events. Contribute to marketing communications materials and employee engagement campaigns. Key Responsibilities Support managers in executing strategic goals of the communications department. Maintain team calendars, agendas, and structured communication rhythms. Capture statistics for quarterly reporting and measure team effectiveness. Collaborate with stakeholders to execute internal and external communications initiatives. Create and publish content for digital and social distribution channels. Qualifications 1-3 years experience in communications, public relations, social media, or marketing. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field, or equivalent experience. Strong organizational and project management skills with flexibility to manage multiple projects. Excellent communication skills with writing, design, and content development expertise. Experience with content management systems and email marketing programs is a plus.
