Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Data Architect with expertise in AWS , FinOps , and Power BI candidate.

- Design and implement scalable data architecture on AWS, including data lakes, data pipelines, and warehousing solutions using services such as S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, and Lambda.
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards to visualize cloud usage, financial performance, KPIs, and operational insights across teams.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Finance, Engineering, and Business Units to align data solutions with business goals and cost efficiency.
- Define and maintain data governance, security, and compliance practices within the AWS environment.
- Translate complex data concepts into simple, clear insights for business and executive stakeholders.
- Evaluate new tools and technologies to enhance the cloud data platform and reporting capabilities.
- Lead FinOps initiatives to monitor, optimize, and report on cloud spend; develop cost allocation strategies, forecasting models, and budget tracking dashboards.
- Architect and implement scalable, secure data environments in AWS aligned with FinOps principles.
- Design data pipelines and frameworks to support financial operations and cost optimization reporting.
- Establish data models and connections for Power BI dashboard integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Engineering, Visualization PODs, and FinOps stakeholders to define reporting requirements.
- Lead the setup of metadata repositories, tagging strategies, and usage tracking mechanisms for cost visibility.
- Ensure best practices in cloud spend optimization, cost allocation, and budget forecasting are built into the design.
- Document environment architecture and provide onboarding materials for Visualization teams.
- Provide limited ongoing support post-handoff to ensure a smooth transition and address any environment-related issues.
- 7+ years of experience in data architecture or engineering roles.
- Proven experience with AWS architecture (S3, Redshift, Athena, Glue, etc.).
- Strong hands-on experience with FinOps principles and cloud cost optimization strategies.
- Proficiency in Power BI and understanding of visualization-ready data modeling.
- Experience designing environments intended for long-term scalability and team handoff.
- Excellent documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
