Senior Property Accountant

Fast growing Real Estate client looking to add an enthusiastic Senior Property Accountant! Must have Commercial Real Estate experience. Will prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements/reporting packages, and perform a wide variety of accounting analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs a wide variety of accounting functions including:

-Month-end closing and quarterly financial statements

-Prepare journal entries and maintain workpapers

-Analyze and explain significant budget variances

-Prepare annual budgets and reforecasts

-CAM and Real Estate Tax reconciliations

- Analyze available cash position of real estate projects

- Assist management with special projects

- Analyze closing/financing documents to identify applicable accounting treatment

for the transactions

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is looking for a long-term

opportunity to take on a full range of accounting responsibilities for assigned real

estate projects.

Bachelor Degree and two to three years of experience which includes all aspects

of accounting for commercial real estate office buildings (not residential but

retail will be considered)

Strong Excel skills

YARDI or MRI a plus
