Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to analyze clients’ substance abuse and mental health backgrounds, determining their specific treatment needs.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that approach both addiction recovery and the underlying psychological challenges clients may face.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI), ensuring appropriate techniques are tailored to each client.

• Collaborate effectively with the treatment team, coordinating care and ensuring that each client receives holistic support through integrated services.

• Educate and engage clients’ families by involving them in the recovery process, promoting a deeper understanding of their loved ones' challenges and recovery efforts.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential records as per regulatory standards, ensuring proper documentation that adheres to ethical guidelines of mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with clients who are navigating the complexities of substance abuse as well as co-occurring mental health disorders. This demographic varies widely in backgrounds, age, and experiences. Your role will be vital in guiding these individuals, many of whom struggle with feelings of shame and isolation, toward hope and recovery. Your expertise will empower them to develop coping strategies, find motivation, and build a sustainable pathway to sobriety.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A master’s degree or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.

• Specific training or clinical experience in addiction counseling and understanding substance use disorders.

• Proficient knowledge of effective, evidence-based practices for addressing both substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.

• Superior interpersonal and therapeutic skills, including a talent for building rapport and motivating clients.
