Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews and assessments to document each client's journey from initial consultation through to treatment completion.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to determine appropriate treatment strategies.
\n
• Design and implement tailored intervention and recovery plans based on individual, couple, family, and group needs.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing established techniques to foster personal growth and recovery.
\n
• Monitor and document clients' progress throughout their treatment plans, adjusting interventions as necessary to enhance outcomes.

• Regularly collaborate with fellow mental health professionals, including doctors, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care strategies.

• Provide follow-up support for clients who have been admitted to the hospital, working directly with psychiatrists and attending physicians.
\n
• Proactively identify signs of behaviors that may hinder recovery, offering guidance to clients and their families accordingly.

• Support family members and caregivers in managing the mental and behavioral challenges faced by clients, providing them with the appropriate resources and strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Presence of Mind Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals from various backgrounds and demographics facing a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, and substance abuse. Your role is integral in helping clients navigate their unique circumstances, providing them with the tools and support necessary for recovery and personal transformation.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in Massachusetts.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Previous experience in a mental health counseling role, demonstrating a deep understanding of therapeutic methodologies.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to streamline documentation and client management.
\n
• In-depth experience with mental health disorders, as well as underlying physical health conditions and addiction issues.
\n
• Familiarity with the best practices recommended by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Strong knowledge of the potential effects of psychotropic medications prescribed by other health professionals.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a compassionate and empathetic approach to client care.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in using technology to enhance therapy sessions, especially in telehealth settings.

• Previous involvement in community outreach or mental health advocacy initiatives.

• Training or expertise in specific therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) or dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive annual salary in the range of USD 80,000 to 100,000, based on experience and qualifications.
