Your day will run from 8:40am to 3:20pm, giving you a consistent weekday schedule with ample time to engage, guide, and encourage learners, while still leaving your evenings open for your personal pursuits.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
• Hold an active Illinois Paraprofessional (IL PARA) certification
• Prior experience supporting students with increased academic and functional needs
• Demonstrated ability to foster engagement and participation within instructional classroom settings
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and fellow staff
• A commitment to helping each child reach their highest potential every day
Responsibilities:
• Provide direct assistance to students, helping implement lesson plans and classroom activities
• Adapt and modify instructional materials as needed to suit individual student learning needs
• Support the lead teacher with daily classroom management and group instruction
• Deliver specialized support for students requiring extra attention—academically, emotionally, or functionally
• Document student progress and participate in classroom planning meetings as required by staff
• Cultivate a welcoming and structured classroom to foster student confidence and independence
