Work Environment

This position is based in our onsite outpatient office in Bloomfield, NJ, where you will be surrounded by a team of passionate healthcare professionals. Our clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment and amenities that support a wide range of physical therapy services. You will work Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing structured and consistent care to your patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to identify physical limitations and define personal rehabilitation goals.
• Design and implement individualized care plans that utilize a range of orthopedic treatment techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities.
• Monitor and assess patients' progress through regular check-ins, adjustments to treatment plans, and documentation of outcomes.
• Provide education to patients about injury prevention, home exercise programs, and lifestyle modifications necessary for successful rehabilitation.
• Motivate patients throughout their therapy sessions, ensuring they remain engaged and committed to their recovery journey.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in orthopedic physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Bodywise, you will primarily work with adult patients experiencing a variety of orthopedic conditions, including post-surgery rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain, and degenerative musculoskeletal issues. Your role is to create treatment plans that are sensitive to the specific needs and goals of each patient, ensuring a personalized approach to their recovery.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• An active state license to practice physical therapy in New Jersey.
• Strong foundational knowledge of orthopedic conditions and rehabilitation principles.
• Proficient in conducting patient assessments, creating treatment plans, and providing direct care.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Specific experience in managing musculoskeletal injuries and conditions is highly desirable.
• Background in creating tailored fitness and wellness programs to address patient-specific needs.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $110,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and expertise. Additional benefits include:
