Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time Opportunity in Paterson, NJ

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our rehabilitation team at Hanford Post Physical Therapy & Wellness Center in Paterson, New Jersey. This full-time position empowers you to play a crucial role in guiding patients towards restored mobility and enhanced physical function. You will work collaboratively with a small team of professionals, including two other physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), in a supportive environment aimed at improving the quality of life of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to create customized therapy plans tailored to each patient's specific needs and goals.
• Implement a variety of treatment techniques, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, to maximize patient recovery outcomes.
• Manage a patient caseload of approximately one patient per hour, ensuring efficient delivery of quality care.
• Monitor and evaluate each patient's progress continually, modifying treatment plans as necessary based on their response and recovery.
• Document clinical findings meticulously in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, ensuring clear communication with all stakeholders.
• Educate patients on their conditions and treatment options, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery process.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create interdisciplinary care strategies that enhance patient comfort and recovery.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout therapy sessions, helping them to improve their strength, flexibility, coordination, and overall physical abilities.
• Promote healthy lifestyle changes to reduce the possibility of future injuries, working especially with patients recovering from orthopedic concerns.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your principal responsibility will be to work with patients dealing with orthopedic issues in an outpatient setting. This includes those recovering from surgeries, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain conditions. By leveraging advanced physical therapy techniques and evidence-based practices, you will contribute to their journey towards optimal physical health and functional independence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or related field; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of New Jersey, with a clean professional record free of disciplinary actions.
• Strong competency in manual therapy and the development of comprehensive exercise regimens.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) management systems, particularly WebPT or similar platforms.
• Ability to effectively communicate and express compassion to motivate patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience as a Physical Therapist in orthopedic outpatient settings.
• Proven track record of crafting and executing effective patient treatment plans.
• Experience in working with exercise programs focused on rehabilitation and wellness enhancement.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
