Work Environment

Located in Northvale, New Jersey, our facility specializes in outpatient care, providing a welcoming and accessible space for our patients. The clinic operates from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, fostering a balanced work-life environment. As a Physical Therapist here, you will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, fitness trainers, and administrative staff, all of whom contribute to our patient-centered approach. Our facility is designed for the utmost comfort of patients, featuring state-of-the-art equipment and tools to assist with a wide variety of orthopedic rehabilitation needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions through detailed assessments, observing movement patterns, and listening to patient history.
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on individual patient evaluations, incorporating specific therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities.
• Utilize hands-on manual therapy to alleviate pain, improve circulation, and restore functionality, ensuring that treatments are customized to the patient's progress and feedback.
• Guide patients through tailored exercise regimens aimed at improving strength, enhancing stability, and encouraging gradual movement progressions.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to track patient progress and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
• Continuously evaluate and modify treatments based on patient responses, motivating patients to actively engage in their recovery journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will engage with a diverse range of patients, primarily focusing on those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will work with individuals of all ages, providing specialized care that takes into account their unique physical, psychological, and social needs. By forming therapeutic relationships with patients, you will help build trust and foster a positive environment that encourages active participation in their rehabilitation process.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) degree from an accredited program is required.
• A valid, active New Jersey Physical Therapist license is essential.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is mandatory, demonstrating a strong foundation in physical therapy principles.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems; experience with WebPT is highly desirable.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with advanced rehabilitation techniques such as vestibular therapy, dry needling, or Kinesio taping can be beneficial.
• Ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and foster collaborative treatment planning.
• Cultural competency in working with diverse patient populations.

Compensation and Benefits
