This full-time position primarily involves working remotely while also being part of our outpatient psychiatric office located in Augusta, Georgia. As a mental health therapist, you will play a critical role in helping individuals, couples, and families overcome various mental health challenges, ensuring they receive personalized and evidence-based interventions aimed at improving their well-being.

Work Environment\n

Our team operates in a remote setting, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance. While you will have the autonomy to manage your schedule, you are expected to be available Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, adjusted as necessary to accommodate patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Hear-A-Mind Inc., your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments to accurately identify patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans.

• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions using modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and other recognized treatment approaches.

• Facilitating psychoeducational and support groups for patients, addressing common mental health concerns and promoting community engagement.

• Collaborating with fellow healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to patient care.

• Offering crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, ensuring patients receive immediate support and action as needed.

• Educating patients regarding mental health conditions, their treatment options, and available community resources effectively and empathetically.

• Maintaining accurate, thorough, and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards concerning patient information.

• Actively participating in case consultations and team meetings to ensure continuous improvement and professional development.

• Staying informed of advancements in the field of mental health therapy, leveraging new research to enhance treatment practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will involve a diverse patient population, including individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges, families grappling with relational issues, and couples navigating emotional struggles. You will possess the tools to cater to diverse backgrounds and experiences, tailoring your approaches to meet the unique needs of each client effectively.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia.

• Comprehensive knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment modalities, along with a demonstrated ability to conduct thorough mental health assessments.

• Proven experience in delivering both individual and group therapy within diverse populations.
\n
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, effective collaboration, and an empathetic approach to patient care.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and applicable computer applications to maintain patient records.

• Ability to maintain professional boundaries while exercising sound judgment in ethical decision-making.

Preferred Experience\n

We prefer candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a mental health counseling role, specifically in outpatient settings. Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and experience utilizing telehealth platforms for virtual therapy sessions would be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n
