Tiello has partnered with a highly successful and well-established electrical contractor on their search for a Business Development Manager focused on Electrical Service Sales throughout South Florida.

The company supports commercial and industrial customers across electrical construction, service, maintenance, troubleshooting, power distribution, lighting, electrical upgrades, and other facility electrical needs.

Role Summary

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for winning new electrical service business, developing new customer relationships, and expanding the company's commercial service presence throughout South Florida

This is a hunter-focused sales position , not an operations or traditional account-management role. The ideal candidate is a proactive, driven sales professional who understands the electrical service business and is comfortable getting in front of property managers, facility managers, commercial building owners, dealerships, general contractors, and other potential customers to identify new opportunities.

This individual should have enough electrical knowledge to walk a potential project, understand the customer's needs, identify the general scope of work, and provide or assist with preliminary pricing and quick-turn service estimates. The position will work closely with estimating, service, and field operations to turn opportunities into profitable electrical service work.

The ideal candidate already has relationships within the South Florida commercial market that can be leveraged while continuing to build a new book of business through prospecting, cold outreach, networking, referrals, site visits, and relationship development.

Job Responsibilities

• Generate net-new electrical service business throughout South Florida through proactive prospecting and relationship development
• Build a pipeline of new commercial and industrial service opportunities rather than relying solely on existing company accounts
• Develop relationships with property managers, facility managers, commercial building owners, dealerships, general contractors, developers, industrial facilities, healthcare organizations, schools, and other commercial customers
• Leverage existing industry contacts and relationships to create new electrical service opportunities
• Conduct cold outreach, networking, customer visits, site walks, referrals, and other business development activities
• Meet directly with prospective customers to understand their electrical service, maintenance, repair, and upgrade needs
• Walk potential projects and identify the general electrical scope of work
• Prepare basic service estimates and quick-turn quotes when appropriate
• Work with the estimating and service teams on larger or more complex electrical opportunities
• Develop proposals and communicate pricing, scope, schedules, and service capabilities to prospective customers
• Follow up consistently on proposals and opportunities to move business through the sales pipeline
• Negotiate and close new service opportunities
• Maintain a strong understanding of electrical labor, materials, equipment, and service pricing
• Develop new service agreements and recurring customer relationships
• Grow new accounts after initial acquisition by identifying additional electrical service and project opportunities
• Track sales activity, pipeline, proposals, wins, and revenue through the company's CRM and internal systems
• Maintain clear knowledge of individual sales goals, new-business revenue, pipeline value, close rates, and overall performance
• Coordinate with service technicians, estimators, Project Managers, and field leadership to ensure sold work can be successfully executed
• Represent the company at industry events, networking opportunities, customer meetings, and trade organizations
• Maintain strong customer relationships while continuing to prioritize new business development and revenue generation
• Stay informed on commercial development, property management, construction, and facility opportunities throughout the South Florida market

Qualifications / Requirements

• Proven experience in Business Development, Service Sales, Outside Sales, Account Executive, or a similar revenue-generating role
• Direct experience within the electrical service, electrical contracting, commercial HVAC/mechanical service, facility services, or closely related technical service industry
• Strong preference for candidates with direct commercial electrical service sales experience
• Demonstrated track record of personally generating new business and new revenue
• Must be comfortable operating as a hunter , including prospecting, cold outreach, networking, site visits, and developing relationships from the ground up
• Existing relationships with property managers, facility managers, commercial owners, dealerships, GCs, developers, industrial customers, or similar South Florida decision-makers strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of commercial electrical systems and electrical service work
• Ability to walk a potential electrical service opportunity and understand the general scope of work
• Ability to develop basic estimates / quick quotes or gather the necessary information for the estimating team to accurately price the work
• Understanding of electrical service labor, materials, equipment, and project requirements
• Experience selling service, maintenance, repairs, upgrades, retrofits, or small electrical projects preferred
• Ability to clearly communicate previous sales quotas, revenue generated, net-new business won, pipeline performance, and sales results
• Strong relationship-building, negotiation, presentation, and closing skills
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently to develop a territory and book of business
• Strong follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple prospects and opportunities simultaneously
• Experience using CRM and sales pipeline management systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of the South Florida commercial market strongly preferred
• Eligibility to work in the U.S.

The ideal candidate is a sales professional who knows the electrical service business , rather than an operations-focused Service Manager looking to move into sales. This individual should enjoy winning new customers, opening doors, developing relationships, walking potential work, helping put together pricing, and ultimately closing business.

They should be able to walk into a property management company, dealership, commercial facility, or GC's office, introduce the company's electrical service capabilities, uncover an opportunity, understand what the customer needs, and help turn that conversation into a quote and ultimately a new customer.
