Make an immediate impact in the lives of students by supporting their educational and psychological growth in a welcoming school-based environment. This contract opportunity seeks an experienced School Psychologist skilled in working with diverse special education populations, ranging from kindergarten through age 22. The role is fully onsite and offers flexibility for either full-time or part-time hours within a typical school day (7:30 AM–3:30 PM), making it ideal for professionals seeking a tailored work experience.
To succeed in this position, candidates should demonstrate:
- Active Massachusetts School Psychologist License (required)
- Previous experience in school settings or with special education populations (strongly preferred)
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
- Strong skills in assessment, report writing, intervention planning, and consultation
- Compassion, adaptability, and a commitment to fostering positive student outcomes
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting psychological and psycho-educational assessments
- Collaborating with teachers and special education staff to support individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Providing direct support and consultation for students with a variety of diagnoses and abilities
- Engaging in crisis intervention and behavioral support, as needed
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to the evaluation and placement processes
- Offering guidance and resources to families and educators
