Step into a rewarding role as a full-time School Psychologist supporting K-12 students in a vibrant educational setting near Cambridge, MA. This contract opportunity runs from November 30th through June 21st, with a steady schedule of 35 hours per week across five days. You’ll work closely with a diverse student caseload, contributing your expertise to help each learner thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.
Candidates must hold active School Psychologist credentials and carry strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, families, and colleagues. Your experience with individualized assessments, multi-tiered systems of support, and effective intervention strategies will be valued as you collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to design and implement effective support plans.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification
- Previous experience with K-12 populations
- Proficiency in conducting psychological evaluations and writing comprehensive reports
- Strong collaborative skills and professional communication
- Flexible, solution-focused attitude
- Experience with IEP teams and knowledge of special education processes preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret data
- Participate in IEP meetings and develop individualized intervention strategies
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to ensure students’ needs are met
- Deliver direct counseling and crisis intervention as needed
- Maintain thorough records, documentation, and adhere to compliance guidelines
- Advocate for students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral success
