Work Environment

Our clinic is located within a hospital facility in Fort Lauderdale, known for its state-of-the-art equipment and comfortable treatment areas. The typical work schedule for this role is from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Effectively implement Physical Therapist-directed treatment plans by guiding patients through therapeutic exercises and activities tailored to their individual needs.
• Continuously monitor and document patient progress, ensuring accurate and timely updates are communicated to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Maintain and organize treatment areas, ensuring that all therapeutic equipment is used properly and is in good working condition.
• Assist in managing clinic administration tasks, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and supporting front desk operations.
• Conduct assessments related to functional movement, balance, and coordination, using evidence-based methods to establish baseline metrics and track improvements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will focus primarily on outpatient orthopedic patients who often present with postoperative rehabilitation needs, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain issues. Your role will involve working closely with a diverse patient demographic, providing compassionate care to help them regain mobility, strength, and confidence.

Qualifications

• A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting is required.
• An active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Florida is mandatory.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with both patients and team members.
• Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, preferably WebPT.
• Ability to perform manual therapy techniques that enhance patient comfort and recovery.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of outpatient experience in a clinical setting is preferred, showcasing familiarity with manual therapy and rehabilitation protocols.
• Experience working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary healthcare environment is highly desirable to facilitate seamless patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
