Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Litigation Attorney role based in Wethersfield, CT. The Litigation Attorney will handle a caseload focused on general liability and insurance defense matters, including case assessment, legal research, and drafting pleadings and motions. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing discovery, conducting and defending depositions, preparing for and appearing in court conferences and hearings, and representing clients through trial when required. The role also involves regular communication with clients, carriers, and colleagues, strategic case planning, and adherence to insurance defense best practices. The Litigation Attorney will collaborate with partners and staff to ensure high-quality, efficient representation aligned with firm and client objectives. There is fast partnership potential depending on experience; lateral moves will also be considered. Qualifications Strong foundation in Law, including civil litigation and insurance defense principles Experience drafting and arguing Motions, including dispositive and procedural motions Proven ability to appear in Courts, handle hearings, and manage case calendars Background in preparing for and conducting Trials, including witness examination and evidence presentation Skill in taking and defending Depositions, and managing written and oral discovery Active admission to the Connecticut bar; additional admissions are a plus 2-5+ years of litigation experience in general liability or insurance defense preferred Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills, with attention to detail Strong communication and client-relations skills, with a responsive and professional approach Ability to manage multiple matters, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
