Director of HVAC Operations

We are looking for a dependable, approachable operations leader who builds trust, creates alignment, develops people, and produces dependable financial and operational results. If people naturally come to you for a straight answer, and you can connect the field, office, and ownership while seeing issues through to resolution, this may be your seat. You will lead the overall performance of our residential HVAC Service and Installation departments, with meaningful responsibility and accountability for people, customers, financial results, and execution. You will inherit an established team and working systems, with the opportunity to strengthen the leadership structure, improve performance, and build an HVAC operation that can grow without depending on ownership for daily direction. What You Would Be Doing You will lead our HVAC Service Manager, Install Team Lead, and field team while coordinating closely with the departments that support HVAC. You will own: Service, Installation, and total HVAC performance Revenue, gross margin, and budget results Staffing, hiring, labor efficiency, quality, and callbacks Manager development and team alignment Clear standards, ownership, communication, and follow-through Alignment between the field, office, and ownership Your job is not to solve every problem personally. It is to ensure the right people own the work, have the support to succeed, and close the loop. What Success Looks Like HVAC is growing according to budget and meeting revenue and gross-margin targets. Managers and Team Leads clearly own their responsibilities and continue developing. The field trusts leadership, standards remain high, and expectations are clear. Staffing, customer issues, callbacks, and recurring problems are managed proactively. Ownership stays informed without being needed for daily HVAC operations. The Background We Are Open To Direct HVAC or home-services leadership experience is valuable, but it is not required. We are equally open to proven leaders from high-volume service environments such as automotive service management, major hotel operations, or comparable customer-focused organizations. What matters is success managing people, workflow, customer expectations, and financial performance. Candidates from outside the trades must learn quickly, earn field credibility, ask sound questions, and lead without pretending to have expertise they have not yet developed.
