Skin & Wound Care Dermatology is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic team in Yonkers, New York. In this full-time, onsite role, you will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional dermatological care to our patients, which includes medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations to diagnose skin disorders and diseases, leveraging your expertise to identify and treat a diverse range of dermatological issues.
• Order and interpret necessary diagnostic tests, ensuring timely and accurate results to inform treatment plans.
• Develop and propose effective treatment strategies for skin diseases, including prescribing medications and recommending appropriate skin care regimens.
• Perform various dermatological procedures, including excisions, laser surgery, cryotherapy, and biopsies, while also managing incision and drainage (I&D) procedures.
• Administer injectable treatments and cosmetic procedures, such as neurotoxins and dermal fillers, enhancing our offerings in aesthetic dermatology.
• Educate patients on treatment processes, preventive skincare measures, and aftercare to empower them in managing their skin health.
• Exhibit patience and compassion while effectively communicating with patients, ensuring their concerns are acknowledged and addressed.
• Uphold high standards of patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in all interactions and documentation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of experience in General and Cosmetic Dermatology is required, equipping you with a strong foundation in diagnosing and treating a variety of conditions.
• Extensive knowledge of dermatological disorders and surgical procedures, including excisional surgery and shave biopsies.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to engage patients professionally and courteously, fostering trust and understanding.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development, with regular participation in training sessions and staff meetings.
• Ability to work autonomously while also embracing a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in aesthetic procedures and a passion for cosmetic dermatology will be considered a significant advantage.
• A valid Physician Assistant License is preferred; however, new graduates with strong dermatological training may still apply.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 95,000 to 125,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
