Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including detailed medical histories, thorough physical examinations, and necessary diagnostic evaluations to identify acute health issues.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians to develop and implement tailored treatment plans, ensuring that each patient receives individualized care aimed at achieving optimal health outcomes.
• Perform minor surgical procedures and interventions, such as suturing, splinting, and wound care, under the supervision of attending physicians, showcasing your skills while maintaining patient safety.
• Educate patients on their medical conditions, treatment possibilities, and lifestyle changes to foster effective health maintenance and prevention strategies.
• Maintain meticulous and accurate medical records, thoroughly documenting patient interactions, evaluations, treatment plans, and follow-up care to ensure continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will engage with a diverse patient population, ranging from children with minor injuries to adults presenting acute illnesses. Our urgent care facility is often a first point of contact for patients who require immediate assistance outside of standard office hours, allowing you to play a crucial role in addressing a variety of urgent health issues and contributing to community health resilience.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• Proven strong clinical skills, with the capability to function autonomously within your defined scope of practice.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to build trusting relationships with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
