Work Environment\n

This position operates in a remote setting via telehealth, allowing you to provide care from the comfort of your own home while utilizing advanced telecommunication technologies. This flexible work environment promotes a healthy work-life balance for our team members. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional evening and weekend hours required on a rotating basis to better serve our clients’ needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms, incorporating standardized assessment tools and techniques.

• Collaborate with clients to create and implement personalized treatment plans that respect their unique goals, preferences, and challenges.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate effective treatment.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care strategies to promote a better understanding of mental health.
\n
• Monitor client progress through regular check-ins and modify treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments and feedback.

• Engage in regular collaboration with psychiatrists and medical professionals to ensure comprehensive and holistic care for clients.

• Stay informed on the latest research, evidence-based practices, and developments in the field of mood disorders to continuously inform treatment approaches.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations and team meetings to brainstorm ideas and share important insights to improve care outcomes.

• Act as an advocate for clients, working towards reducing stigma around mood disorders and promoting mental health awareness in the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals experiencing various mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Our clientele represents a diverse demographic, encompassing a range of ages, backgrounds, and life experiences. As a Mental Health Counselor, your role is crucial in guiding clients toward recovery and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker), LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor), or LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) in Washington state.

• Excellent communication skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds and to navigate sensitive conversations effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience with a specialization in treating mood disorders.

• Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities, specifically Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and demonstrated successful client outcomes.

• A solid understanding of psychopharmacology, with the ability to partner effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers.

Compensation and Benefits\n
