Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough client assessments to develop individualized treatment plans, ensuring each client’s needs are met effectively.

• Utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, to address a wide range of mental health concerns.

• Provide individual, couple, and group counseling sessions while ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all clients.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, adhering to legal and ethical standards to safeguard client confidentiality.

• Stay informed about the latest developments in mental health research by participating in workshops, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on underserved populations who may face barriers to accessing mental health care. You will work with clients presenting a range of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, trauma, and relationship challenges, providing them with the support they need to thrive.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey.
\n
• A minimum of two years of professional counseling experience in a clinical setting is required.
\n
• A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards relevant to counseling practices.
\n
• Proficient in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and other relevant technologies to enhance client care and streamline administrative tasks.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in specialties such as family therapy, couples therapy, substance abuse counseling, or trauma-informed care is highly preferred.

• The annual salary ranges from USD 70,000 to 90,000, commensurate with experience and caseload.
