What you need to know

• Hourly Pay Rate: $20.57
• 1-2 classes per month, approximately 4 hours per class
• Part-Time, Temporary
• Location: Queen Creek

What you’ll be doing
Lead educational cooking classes for the community. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for cooking and teaching who enjoys sharing their knowledge and creating an engaging learning environment.

You will be responsible for…

• Lead hands-on cooking classes for community participants.
• Demonstrate cooking techniques, recipes, and food preparation methods.
• Provide clear, engaging instruction and answer participant questions.
• Prepare and organize ingredients, equipment, and supplies needed for each class.
• Develop and/or adapt recipes appropriate for each class.
• Create ingredients and supply lists for each class.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe cooking environment.
• Provide a welcoming and positive experience for participants of varying skill levels.
• Follow applicable food safety, sanitation, and facility guidelines.

What skills & experience you’ll bring to us

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Current ServSafe Certification and Food Handler Certification required.
• Previous cooking experience with a strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Previous teaching, training, or instructional experience preferred.
• Ability to confidently demonstrate cooking techniques and communicate instructions clearly.
• Strong organizational and preparation skills.
• Ability to develop recipes and prepare accurate ingredients and supply lists.
• Comfortable working with groups and participants with varying levels of cooking experience.
• Ability to commit to teaching 1–2 classes per month, generally requiring approximately 4 hours per class, plus preparation time.
• Dependable and able to prepare materials in advance of each scheduled class.
