Account Sales Executive - Amazon Marketplace

About the Job

The Account Sales Executive is responsible for total account management. This position oversees the product preparation and proposal, sell-in, account administration and order transaction for the men's and kids category. This position also requires the individual to have experience managing the Amazon and other retailers. This Account Sales Executive I position requires tangential coordination with Logistics, Order Management, Production and Merchandising to maximize the commercialization and brand management by retailer.

Essential Functions (Including but not limited to):
  • Understand annual sales goals and establish plan to achieve.
  • Promotes and grow the brands/ categories in both existing accounts and new accounts.
  • Send ATS every Monday to capture weekly OTB/ in season opportunities.
  • Secure and manage all bulks/ buys/ cost requests and art requests withing all respective departments and see thru to completion.
  • Review selling weekly and speak to buyers consistently.
  • Manage onboarding, platform support, and account management for Amazon's marketplace and logistics tools.
  • Segment opportunities and in season builds in conjunction with their team and the customer needs.
  • Comprehension of competitive price points and weekly best sellers by season/ category.
  • Conduct regular virtual market visits and, when necessary, travel to key international accounts for line presentations, business reviews, and relationship-building.
  • Identify new opportunities to gain incremental sales.
  • Actively use all Marketing tools, imagery, social platforms, in store promotions.
  • Meet with planning team monthly or weekly on as needed basis and form liaison to retailers planning team.
  • Travel/ ZOOM to accounts regularly, secure market appointments, and initiate timely follow up and next steps.
  • Run open order report daily to keep order book clean.
  • Understanding of global retail landscapes and regional consumer behavior.
  • Request extensions as needed and make substitutions to mitigate any loss of sales.
  • Understand YTD sales vs monthly budget and target sales goals needed.
  • Ensure Sales Coordinators have met with sales support to ensure all orders and dates are bucketed correctly in our system.
  • Manage Sales Coordinator and ensure they are checking customer orders for correct data. i.e. costing/wholesale price, units, terms, ship windows and bulks.
  • Provide weekly account updates to team leaders and mgt. Perform any other duties as assigned in support of the company needs and operations.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education or experience.
  • 3+ years of sales account management experience for the Amazon business.
  • At least a minimum of 1 year managing an Amazon seller account.
  • Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office (intermediate to advanced Excel) and database systems.
  • Strong business judgement and sense of urgency and can work independently under critical time frames and work on multiple assignments.
  • Excellent negotiation and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of international logistics, compliance requirements, and customs documentation.
  • Ability to navigate cultural nuances and communication styles across markets.
  • Familiarity with currency fluctuations and their impact on pricing and margin.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills with necessary interpersonal skills to deal with various individuals and clients.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret data and draw valid conclusions that show understanding and insight with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to be extremely flexible and adaptable in completing a diverse range of assignments in a timely manner and adaptable to change and have the ability to prioritize projects and workload.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and ability to apply good work habits to effectively complete assigned tasks and contribute to the smooth operation of the department and company.
