Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, empowering you to maintain a work-life balance while serving clients in McKinney, Texas, and beyond through telehealth platforms. We operate seven days a week, with flexible scheduling from 7 am to 10 pm, allowing you to choose shifts that align with your personal commitments. Our virtual clinic is equipped with cutting-edge technology to facilitate seamless collaboration with clients and multidisciplinary team members.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients’ trauma histories and determine the most effective treatment interventions.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs, focusing on promoting trauma recovery and resilience-building.
\n
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate clients’ healing and growth.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, assisting clients in processing their trauma, developing practical coping strategies, and fostering healing within a community setting.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure that clients receive integrated and holistic care.
\n
• Offer crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating empathy and providing immediate assistance when needed.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available resources to empower them in their recovery journeys.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Engage in case consultations and team meetings to enhance therapeutic approaches and support ongoing professional development.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually refine your skills and enhance patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse population, primarily focusing on individuals who have experienced trauma and are seeking help to navigate the associated challenges. Your clients may include adults, couples, and groups, and you will be encouraged to explore treating couples as part of our commitment to flexible clinician development.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A valid LPC licensure in the state of Texas.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach toward clients.

• An ability to remain calm and collected in high-stress situations.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology.
\n
• A collaborative spirit conducive to working within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

While 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, we are also committed to training individuals who exhibit a self-guided determination to excel. Knowledge of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment approaches, and resilience-building techniques will be valuable in this role. Being adaptable, honest, and maintaining a strong work ethic aligned with our organization’s values is equally essential.
