Key Responsibilities\n

• Collaborate closely with the Medical Director and interdisciplinary team to provide consistent mental health treatment for clients, both within and outside the clinic.

• Conduct regular mental health in-service training for medical, psychiatric, and security staff to enhance their understanding of patient needs.

• Respond promptly to mental health emergencies by implementing crisis intervention techniques to ensure patient safety and well-being.

• Attend commitment hearings when necessary, collaborating with legal and medical professionals to advocate for client needs.
\n
• Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals tailored to the unique circumstances of each client.
\n
• Document all patient interactions accurately and maintain comprehensive records that uphold confidentiality.

• Verify the mental health history of clients, including any prior psychotropic medications, to inform treatment decisions.

• Prepare and submit regular and special reports as required, tracking patient progress and outcomes.

• Work with nursing staff and mental health professionals to create effective post-release referral programs for ongoing care.
