Position Summary

Mandolin HVAC & Construction is seeking a motivated individual who is interested in building a career in accounting while working in a full-time position. This opportunity is ideal for someone currently enrolled in an accounting program or someone interested in pursuing an accounting degree who wants to gain real-world accounting experience.

We are not looking for someone with years of accounting experience. Instead, we are looking for someone who is eager to learn, accepts coaching, and wants to grow professionally. We believe the best long-term employees are those who are willing to learn our systems, processes, and company culture from the beginning.

Responsibilities

Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Enter invoices, bills, and financial transactions into the accounting system.

Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.

Organize and maintain accounting records and documentation.

Assist with inventory tracking and accounting support.

Help prepare financial reports and schedules.

Support payroll processing and related administrative tasks.

Learn company accounting procedures, internal controls, and financial systems.

Provide general administrative support to the Finance Department.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

High school diploma or equivalent.

Currently enrolled in college, planning to attend college, or interested in pursuing a career in accounting.

Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn.

Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Preferred

Coursework in accounting, business, or finance.

Previous office or customer service experience is helpful but not required.

No prior accounting experience is necessary.
