Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct mental health assessments and document each case accurately from initial consultation through to treatment conclusion.

• Evaluate clients' emotional, behavioral, and psychological health by employing standardized tools and interviewing techniques.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for clients of various demographics, including adults, couples, and families.

• Facilitate engaging therapy sessions, utilizing both individual and group approaches to address each client's needs.

• Track and monitor client progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to optimize treatment outcomes.

• Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to coordinate comprehensive intervention plans that benefit each client.

• Maintain communication with referring physicians and psychiatrists regarding client hospital admissions and subsequent care.

• Identify behaviors that hinder client recovery and formulate preventive strategies that enhance rehabilitation.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health issues effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in New Jersey.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proven experience in providing mental health counseling in various settings.

• Demonstrated proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, preferably AVATAR, for documentation and client management.

• In-depth understanding of the interplay between mental health issues and physical health conditions, as well as addiction disorders.

• Knowledge of best practices as established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, complemented by exceptional interpersonal abilities.
