Recruiting and Talent Development Manager: Healthcare staffing background The Recruiting and Talent Development Manager will train, lead, and manage a team of National Recruiters for nationwide recruitment of clinicians for travel assignments. The Manager is responsible for the selection, training and development, and performance management of assigned National Recruiters. This leader is responsible for onboarding, training, and developing all new recruitment hires during their first 9–15 months with the organization, ensuring they are hitting critical placement milestones during their first year in the role. What you’ll be doing: Recruitment Team Management Daily management and oversight of national recruitment team production. Works with recruitment team members to execute on daily and weekly recruitment strategies for the purpose of placing clinicians. Provides on‑going performance management of national recruiters. Advises recruiters on best practices and recruitment strategies for clinicians. Determines national recruiter goals — daily, monthly, and yearly — which align with overall Company goals. Leads structured onboarding for all newly hired recruiters, ensuring a consistent, high‑quality introduction to company systems, processes, tools, expectations, and culture. Delivers comprehensive training programs covering core recruiting competencies including sourcing, candidate engagement, submission preparation, interview management, offer negotiation, and placement execution. Establishes and tracks critical placement milestones for all new hires during their first year, providing coaching and corrective guidance as needed to keep recruiters on pace. Monitors individual recruiter progress against defined performance benchmarks and ramp timelines, intervening proactively when a recruiter is trending behind expectations. Facilitates structured milestone reviews at key intervals (e.g., 30/60/90 days and 6/9/12 months) to assess recruiter readiness, performance, and development needs. What you need to bring: 5+ years of recruiting and leadership experience within the healthcare staffing industry is a must. Experience with hiring, training and developing new recruiters.
