Job Opportunity – Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (Day/Evening rotation, 0700-1930). Weekend and holiday rotations based on operational need. Patient ratio of up to 6:1 on weekends.

Highlights:

• 28-bed medical/surgical telemetry unit in a Magnet-designated hospital
• Diverse patient mix including medical diagnoses (COPD, heart failure, diabetes, infections) and surgical post-op care (bariatric, orthopedic joint replacements, neurosurgery)
• Epic charting system with state-of-the-art technology and evidence-based practice environment
• Strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and phlebotomy
• 20 hours of orientation provided; float to other units as needed
• Free onsite parking available

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Minimum of two years of acute care experience within the last three years
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must successfully pass telemetry competency exam prior to start (80% passing score required; 100% accuracy on lethal rhythms)
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Proficiency in IV starts/maintenance, central line blood draws, PICC line management, wound care/wound vac, and blood product administration
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
