Full-Time Licensed Physical Therapist for Orthopedic Rehabilitation

Maridan South Spine and Sports Medicine is seeking a dedicated full-time Licensed Physical Therapist to join our esteemed team at our orthopedic outpatient practice located in Stockton, California. This role is pivotal in assisting patients in their journey to regain mobility and function, ultimately maximizing their quality of life. The successful candidate will engage in comprehensive care that spans the promotion, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, intervention, and rehabilitation of patients with a variety of ailments.

Our practice is designed to provide exemplary services to patients primarily with private medical insurance. We pride ourselves on maintaining a collaborative atmosphere, surrounded by a professional team that includes two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), all focused on delivering superior care.

Work Environment

The successful candidate will work on-site in a modern, expansive 5,000 square-foot facility outfitted with cutting-edge rehabilitation equipment and therapy tools that foster a supportive therapeutic environment. Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a stable work-life balance while contributing to meaningful patient care.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for:

• Performing comprehensive evaluations to assess patient needs, establishing objectives tailored to individual health conditions.
• Managing an efficient schedule of approximately one patient per hour, ensuring high-quality personalized care.
• Utilizing diverse treatment techniques to develop and implement comprehensive care plans designed to promote mobility and accelerate recovery.
• Educating and motivating patients throughout their rehabilitation process, promoting active participation, and fostering a commitment to long-term wellness.
• Continuously assessing treatment efficacy, adjusting care plans based on patient progress, and fostering open channels of communication with patients and their families.
• Documenting patient interactions and progress thoroughly to maintain accurate health records and ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborating closely with your teammates and other healthcare professionals to create a holistic and integrated approach to patient wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily revolve around treating patients facing orthopedic challenges including post-surgical recovery, chronic pain conditions, and sports-related injuries. You will play an essential role in providing physical rehabilitation, focusing on enhancing patients' strength, flexibility, and functional abilities while minimizing reliance on medications or invasive procedures.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is highly preferred.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in California with no disciplinary actions against your license.
• Demonstrated competency in manual therapy techniques and a strong foundation in therapeutic exercise programming.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) software, preferably WebPT, to streamline patient documentation and manage care effectively.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will have:

• Previous experience working within orthopedic outpatient settings, and understanding patient management tailored to individualized treatment plans.
• Strong interpersonal skills capable of building rapport with patients and fostering a positive rehabilitation experience.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development through workshops, seminars, or additional training relevant to physical therapy practices.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 100,000 and 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
