Work Environment

Located in vibrant Bakersfield, California, our clinic operates in a friendly and inviting atmosphere that fosters openness and collaboration. Working mainly onsite, you will be engaging directly with patients in our dedicated outpatient clinic, ensuring they receive individualized attention and care tailored to their specific needs. Our regular work hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, giving you a balanced work-life experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to create customized treatment plans aimed at achieving their unique rehabilitation goals.
• Administer and monitor effective therapeutic interventions, ensuring that each patient receives high-quality care tailored to their personal needs.
• Educate patients on recovery techniques, anatomy, and functional movement strategies to empower them on their rehabilitation journey.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest research and practices in physical therapy to ensure that treatments are evidence-based and effective.
• Utilize specialized tools and equipment in line with clinical best practices to maximize patient outcomes.
• Maintain clear and accurate patient records using EMR systems, particularly Web PT, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Regularly assess and record patients' progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to enhance recovery.
• Motivate patients to adhere to their therapeutic exercise regimens to maximize their recovery potential.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Our client demographic ranges from active adults and athletes to elderly individuals seeking to improve mobility and alleviate pain. You will be instrumental in advocating for non-surgical alternatives that promote improved function and a higher quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; completion of an accredited Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) program is required.
• A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of California with a clean record free of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Demonstrated expertise in orthopedic physical therapy techniques, with a strong foundation in manual therapy modalities.
• Proficient in using electronic medical records software, particularly Web PT, to document and manage patient care efficiently.
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively educate and motivate patients throughout their treatment.
• Strong analytical skills to continually assess and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting, with a focus on orthopedic care.
• History of working with diverse patient populations, particularly in sports rehabilitation and post-operative recovery.
• Proven ability to develop and execute effective exercise and rehabilitation programs.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range of USD $100,000 – 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package.
