Empower-Self Physical Therapy is seeking a passionate and dedicated full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our innovative team in Bakersfield, California. In this vital role, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of guiding patients on their journey towards enhanced mobility and optimal functionality. You will engage in the full spectrum of physical therapy practices, including prevention, diagnosis, treatment, intervention, and rehabilitation tailored to individual patient needs.

Our state-of-the-art facility spans 5,000 square feet and is designed specifically for sports medicine. We predominantly serve patients with private medical insurance, allowing us to focus on quality care without the constraints often associated with insurance limitations. Our collaborative environment consists of two seasoned physical therapists and one Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), all dedicated to creating optimal treatment experiences for our patients.

Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, providing home care services to patients in Bakersfield and surrounding areas. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. You will have the opportunity to work closely with a supportive team in an environment that emphasizes comprehensive treatment and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient goals and individual requirements to create personalized care plans that promote active recovery.
• Manage a dedicated patient caseload, providing one-on-one treatment sessions, approximately one patient per hour.
• Utilize your expertise to deliver cost-effective therapy solutions, focusing on restoring range of motion and improving mobility.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans while minimizing reliance on medication and invasive surgical procedures.
• Incorporate evidence-based techniques in your practice to ensure high standards of care are met.
• Motivate and encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation journeys, enhancing their overall quality of life.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide well-rounded treatment and consult on complex cases.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment outcomes meticulously to ensure continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily supports individuals dealing with orthopedic conditions that necessitate rehabilitation and physical therapy interventions. We focus on enhancing the quality of life for our patients through tailored fitness and wellness programs aimed at improving strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent. A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is strongly preferred.
• Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of California with no disciplinary actions on record.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and an adept understanding of exercise protocols.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT software.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable.
• Experience in developing effective wellness and rehabilitation programs tailored to diverse patient needs.
• A strong professional network within the healthcare community is an advantage for patient referrals and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
