Full-Time Licensed Physical Therapist - Orthopedic Focus

Work Environment

As a member of our dynamic team consisting of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), you will work onsite in our well-equipped rehabilitation center located in Bakersfield, CA. The work schedule aligns with standard business hours, Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm. Our facility fosters a collaborative and welcoming atmosphere where each team member contributes to our patients' success.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth evaluations of patients' physical conditions and collaboratively establish individual rehabilitation goals.
• Create and implement effective treatment plans incorporating various manual therapy techniques to improve patients' movement and mobility.
• Manage a weekly caseload, ensuring each patient receives at least one hour of dedicated care during their sessions.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, making necessary adjustments to treatment protocols based on their evolving needs.
• Design and execute personalized fitness and wellness programs that cater specifically to the patients' capabilities and rehabilitation goals.
• Work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and collaborative care, ensuring an integrated approach to patient management.
• Advocate for patients by promoting health education and encouraging lifestyle modifications to support their rehabilitation journey.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR), specifically WebPT, to streamline documentation and enhance patient care efficiency.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on individuals recovering from orthopedic conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation and sports-related injuries. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is a minimum requirement; candidates with advanced degrees such as a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) are preferred.
• Valid California state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• A solid professional record with no history of disciplinary actions against the license.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques, with the ability to apply various treatment modalities effectively.
• Strong competence in developing and implementing tailored exercise protocols based on evidence-based practices.
• Experience with EMR software, particularly WebPT, is highly desirable.

Preferred Experience

• Previous work experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is strongly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with patient treatment pathways and rehabilitation methodologies.
• Experience in designing and implementing patient-specific wellness programs.
• Proven ability to motivate and engage patients in their recovery process.

Compensation and Benefits

The offered salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
