We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at Lakeland Health & Fitness, located in Bakersfield, California. This full-time, onsite position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of our patients as you assess, treat, and rehabilitate individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries.

Work Environment

Our Rehabilitation Center is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and technology, creating an environment that promotes healing and recovery. Our interdisciplinary team includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, physicians, and other healthcare specialists working closely together to ensure holistic patient care. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and functional evaluations of patients to determine their physical capabilities and limitations.
• Develop and implement targeted treatment plans that align with each patient's specific needs, goals, and recovery benchmarks.
• Utilize evidence-based techniques such as manual therapy, including joint mobilization and myofascial release, to facilitate optimal healing.
• Monitor and document patient progress through measurable, outcome-driven objectives, ensuring adherence to clinic policies and regulatory standards.
• Engage in regular re-evaluations to adjust treatment plans as necessary based on patient progress and emerging needs.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations.
• Stay informed on the latest advancements in physical therapy practices and integrate new techniques into patient care when appropriate.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role centers around a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from sports injuries, orthopedic surgeries such as joint replacements, and chronic pain conditions. You will work with patients of varying ages and activity levels, tailoring your approach to meet their unique needs and preferences. Your expertise will be crucial in helping them achieve functional recovery and return to their preferred activities, whether it be sports, work, or everyday tasks.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A current and valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of California.
• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or a Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting, with a strong foundation in evaluating and treating orthopedic conditions.
• Proficiency in therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, functional movement assessments, and exercise prescription.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on patient education to empower individuals throughout their rehabilitation process.
• The ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment, collaborating effectively with colleagues and interdisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience

While we welcome applications from candidates with 2 years of experience, new graduates with clinical rotations in orthopedics are also encouraged to apply. We value enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience, alongside a robust benefits package that includes:
