Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, ensuring accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning.

• Collaborate closely with clients to create individualized treatment strategies that prioritize their specific needs and therapeutic goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to provide effective interventions.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, empowering them with knowledge related to treatment options and self-care practices.

• Monitor client progress through regular evaluations, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as informed by ongoing assessments.

• Work in coordination with psychiatrists and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care, including medication management and side effect monitoring.

• Stay informed on the latest research and developments in the field of mood disorders to enhance therapeutic approaches and improve client outcomes.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records of individual client sessions, assessments, and treatment plans in adherence to ethical and legal standards.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings, contributing to the collective knowledge and best practices in mood disorder treatment.

• Advocate for clients by working to de-stigmatize mental health issues and elevating the importance of mental health care in community settings.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily support clients facing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related challenges. Our client base is diverse, encompassing a range of ages and backgrounds, and you will be instrumental in facilitating their journey toward improved mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Washington is mandatory.

• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based therapeutic practices specific to mood disorders, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• A solid understanding of psychopharmacology and experience working alongside psychiatrists to provide holistic care.
