Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews to understand clients' current challenges and histories.

• Document detailed case notes from the initial consultation through the treatment process, ensuring continuity of care.

• Assess the mental, behavioral, and emotional health of clients and utilize this information to develop tailored recovery and intervention plans.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for clients to share their experiences and explore coping strategies.

• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans in collaboration with the care team to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Provide follow-up support for clients transitioning back into the community after hospital admissions, ensuring they have the resources they need.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a mental health counselor at our center, you will work with a diverse client base struggling with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and interpersonal challenges. Your role is vital in delivering culturally competent care that respects the unique backgrounds and experiences of each client, effectively fostering mental wellness and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Nevada.

• A passing score on the NCE and/or NCMHCE examination.
\n
• Demonstrated exceptional written and verbal communication skills, essential for assessment and therapeutic engagement.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to counseling and support.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working as a mental health counselor in a clinical or community health setting.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, especially AVATAR or similar tools for effective documentation.

• Experience addressing various behavioral health issues including co-occurring disorders and addiction.

• Familiarity with standards and best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Knowledge of pharmacological treatments and their effects on mental health conditions.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience.
