Recovery Mind Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our expanding team. As a vital member of our telehealth practice, you will focus on providing compassionate, informed care to individuals grappling with trauma and related mental health challenges. Work Environment\n

This role is remote, enabling you to provide therapy through a secure telehealth platform. The flexibility offered within a remote setting ensures accommodating scheduling to meet the diverse needs of our patients. While standard work hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, some flexibility will be required based on individual patient circumstances. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history and devise suitable treatment plans.

• Develop individualized treatment strategies aimed at facilitating trauma recovery and resilience building.
\n
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to assist patients in processing their trauma, establishing coping mechanisms, and encouraging healing.
\n
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive patient care.
\n
• Deliver crisis intervention during high-stress scenarios while providing immediate support for trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and resources available throughout the recovery process.
\n
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations for mental health recordkeeping.
\n
• Engage in case consultations and actively participate in team meetings, contributing to discussions focused on trauma-informed care.

• Continuously enhance your knowledge base by staying informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on individuals affected by trauma, particularly those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma histories, and associated mental health issues. You will work closely with a diverse population, including adults, teens, and families, guiding them towards recovery in a supportive and understanding environment. Your role will significantly contribute to patient outcomes and the overall goal of fostering resilience and healing among those we serve.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, Psychologist, or LMFT in California.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is required.
\n
• Comprehensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-focused therapeutic approaches.

• Demonstrated proficiency in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an empathetic and non-judgmental demeanor.
\n
• Adept at managing high-stress situations with composure and professionalism.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other necessary computer applications.
\n
• A collaborative mindset suitable for working within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience in a telehealth setting is an advantage, demonstrating proficiency in virtual patient engagement.
