Work Environment

This role is an onsite position primarily operating in the homes of our patients in the Trenton area. Our physical therapists work closely with patients, families, and caregivers, creating a warm and supportive atmosphere conducive to recovery. The typical schedule is Monday to Friday, from 2 PM to 8 PM, allowing for focused interaction with patients during afternoons and evenings when family members are available for support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive and high-quality physical therapy services in patient homes, ensuring alignment with physician-recommended care plans.
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions, documenting key metrics and monitoring progress towards recovery goals.
• Develop and implement personalized therapy plans that engage patients and their families, focusing on fostering independence and enhancing functional abilities.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise regimens, and electrotherapy, to facilitate patient recovery.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercises, mobility strategies, and the use of therapeutic equipment to support ongoing rehabilitation outside of therapy sessions.
• Manage a caseload effectively, prioritizing clinical needs and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Motion Mastery Therapeutics, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, those managing chronic illnesses, and patients with mobility impairments. This role requires a sensitive understanding of each patient's unique circumstances, fostering an environment that promotes trust and encourages patient engagement throughout their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, which must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build rapport with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

• While no prior experience is required, candidates with clinical rotations or internships in home health settings are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in developing and implementing individualized patient care plans.
• Familiarity with the latest physical therapy technologies and treatment methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits
