Work Environment

Our rehabilitation center in Punta Gorda offers a supportive and dynamic work setting. You will collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and fitness specialists, to provide holistic care to our patients. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients' physical abilities to design effective, individualized therapy plans.
• Deliver high-quality physical therapy services, using state-of-the-art equipment and techniques tailored to each patient's goals.
• Maintain a manageable patient caseload to ensure that each patient receives personalized attention and care.
• Employ evidence-based practices to enhance patient mobility, including the implementation of manual therapy and therapeutic exercises.
• Create and adjust treatment plans as needed based on ongoing patient assessments and feedback.
• Educate patients on health and wellness strategies, emphasizing the importance of rehabilitation and self-care.
• Document patient progress meticulously using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, such as WebPT.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to promote comprehensive patient care and improve health outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patient population at our Punta Gorda rehabilitation center consists of individuals recovering from a variety of conditions, including orthopedic injuries, surgical procedures, and chronic pain issues. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of age groups, tailoring your approach according to the unique needs and goals of each patient.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Possession of a valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida, with a clean disciplinary history.
• Proficiency in multiple manual therapy modalities and rehabilitation techniques.
• A strong foundation in patient evaluation, treatment planning, and implementing exercise programs.
• Experience using EMR software effectively, particularly WebPT, for documentation purposes.
• Commitment to staying informed about the latest developments in physical therapy practices.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in outpatient rehabilitation settings, particularly focusing on orthopedic cases.
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing customized treatment plans for diverse patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
