Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Avecina, your main responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians to design individualized treatment plans.
• Implementing and adjusting treatment protocols across diverse specialties, including orthopedics, pediatrics, neurology, and sports medicine.
• Delivering high-quality patient care using established evidence-based practices and performing regular evaluations of progress.
• Providing education and support to patients and their caregivers about the recovery process and self-management techniques.
• Staying actively engaged with colleagues to enhance patient outcomes and ensure a collaborative approach to care.
• Monitoring treatment efficacy and making adjustments as necessary to maximize rehabilitation results.
• Upholding patient engagement by nurturing strong therapeutic relationships that encourage patients to reach their functional milestones.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele encompasses a diverse range of individuals, from pediatric athletes to elderly patients recovering from surgery. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A current state license as a Doctor of Physical Therapist (DPT) from the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two (2) years of relevant clinical experience.
• A current CPR certification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills that foster collaboration and trust with patients.
• Proficiency in computer usage and documentation management systems relevant to patient care.

Preferred Experience

While two years of experience is required, our ideal candidate will also demonstrate a background in diverse treatment areas, including hands-on therapy, patient education, and community engagement initiatives. Prior experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and knowledge of current therapeutic practices are advantageous.
