You will be working onsite in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center located in Stafford, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

As an outpatient physical therapist at Korunda, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations to assess patient needs, mobility, strength, and function.
• Developing and implementing personalized treatment programs based on each patient's diagnosis and treatment goals.
• Utilizing innovative therapeutic techniques to guide patients through their recovery process, ensuring alignment with physician recommendations.
• Maintaining thorough documentation of patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet individual goals.
• Delivering exceptional customer service and fostering a supportive environment for patients and their families.
• Collaborating with fellow clinicians and healthcare staff to maximize the effectiveness of patient care through evidence-based approaches.
• Providing education and support to patients and caregivers to facilitate understanding of treatment and recovery processes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will encompass diverse patient populations, including individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, pediatric conditions, neurological disorders, and sports-related injuries. Each day, you will tailor your approach to meet the specific needs and lifestyles of your patients, fostering meaningful connections to encourage their progress and well-being.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Valid State License as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) issued by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience in a clinical setting.
• Current CPR Certification to ensure safety and preparedness.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients and team members.
• Proficient in word processing and basic computer skills to manage documentation and reporting.
• A commitment to building strong relationships with patients and the community to enhance care and support.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience is required, experience in specialized areas such as pediatric therapy, geriatrics, or sports therapy will be considered an asset. Additionally, demonstrated proficiency in using patient management software or therapy-related technology will enhance your candidacy.
