Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of new patients, analyzing their medical history, performing specific assessments, and developing individualized treatment plans based on findings.
• Clearly communicate evaluation results and treatment plans to patients and their families, encouraging their involvement in goal-setting to enhance recovery outcomes.
• Implement treatment protocols with proficiency, adapting techniques to meet the specific needs and progress of each patient.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team by consulting with physicians and other healthcare professionals as needed, while also documenting any changes in patient condition for modifications in care plans.
• Manage discharge planning processes effectively, ensuring continuity of care with appropriate follow-up recommendations, and maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient interactions and treatment progress.
• Demonstrate strong time management skills, meet productivity expectations, and maintain a functional schedule.
• Engage in promotional activities within the community to enhance outreach and educate the public about our services and health benefits.
• Contribute to the clinic's departmental goals by complying with regulatory requirements and promoting a culture of excellence and integrity in patient care.
• Actively pursue opportunities for professional development and serve as a mentor or clinical instructor to students or new staff.
• Emphasize an exceptional customer experience and strive to remove barriers that hinder access to necessary care for our patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• A valid physical therapist license to practice in the state of Virginia is mandatory.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association's BLS for Healthcare Providers is essential.
• While a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred, it is not required for this position.
• Demonstrated experience working in outpatient settings is beneficial, though we are open to candidates who have recently completed their education.

Preferred Experience

We encourage candidates with at least 2 years of proven experience in a clinical setting to apply. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and treatment management software is a plus, as it aligns with our commitment to efficient patient care management.

Compensation and Benefits
