Work Environment

The Physical Therapist role is uniquely positioned to make a positive impact in a home care environment, where you will conduct your work in the comfort of patients' homes. This setting allows for personalized interactions and tailored therapy sessions. You will work from Monday through Friday, maintaining a standard schedule of 40 hours per week. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients recovering from various injuries, surgeries, and conditions within their home environment to determine their physical therapy needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing a range of therapeutic methods including exercise regimens, manual therapy techniques, and assistive equipment to facilitate pain relief and improve mobility.
• Continuously assess patients' progress toward established goals, documenting treatment effectiveness and adjusting plans as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
• Educate patients, their families, and caregivers on effective home exercises and physical therapy practices, ensuring they are well-prepared to support their recovery.
• Stay updated with current best practices in physical therapy by attending workshops, seminars, and engaging with professional communities.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals involved in the patient's care to ensure a cohesive approach to their recovery.
• Serve as an advocate for patient needs, working diligently to maintain high standards of care and patient satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological conditions, chronic pain issues, and post-acute care following hospitalization. This position emphasizes the importance of individualized care, with a focus on understanding the unique needs and circumstances of each patient in their home environment. Our goal is to empower patients through education and hands-on guidance to promote self-management and functional independence.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid physical therapy license in the state of Virginia is essential.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effective patient interactions and documentation.
• Proficient in word processing and basic computer operations to maintain patient records and documentation.
• High degree of flexibility and adaptability, ready to meet the dynamic needs of patients in a home-based setting.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in physical therapy practice is preferred, particularly in a home care or outpatient setting.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations and familiarity with a variety of treatment modalities is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually.
