Technical Business Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join a product-focused technology team and support the delivery of new features, enhancements, and transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into clear requirements and supporting successful software delivery. The role requires a strong analytical mindset, technical understanding, and the ability to work collaboratively with developers, testers, product teams, and business stakeholders in an Agile environment. Key Responsibilities Elicit, analyse, validate, and document business and technical requirements for new features and system enhancements. Translate business needs into detailed technical specifications, user stories, use cases, and clear acceptance criteria. Collaborate with product owners, developers, QA engineers, and technical teams to ensure requirements are understood and delivered effectively. Analyse technical constraints, dependencies, risks, and implementation considerations. Support the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including process flows, system diagrams, API documentation, and data models. Assess solution feasibility and contribute to defining appropriate implementation approaches. Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and other Agile ceremonies. Identify delivery risks, blockers, and gaps, proactively communicating them to relevant stakeholders. Support continuous improvement initiatives, process optimisation, and product enhancements. Work across BAU activities, proof of concepts (PoCs), and change initiatives. Required Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst, IT Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role within software/product development environments. Strong experience gathering, analysing, and documenting requirements. Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and actionable development tasks. Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and delivery processes. Experience working with developers, testers, architects, and technical stakeholders. Understanding of databases, data modelling concepts, APIs, integrations, and software testing practices. Experience with Agile tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar backlog management platforms. Experience with Microsoft 365 collaboration tools, including Teams, SharePoint, OneNote, and Office documentation tools. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Nice to Have Experience with process transformation or business process improvement. Exposure to UX improvement initiatives or design thinking approaches. Experience working in product delivery environments. Knowledge of API specifications, system architecture concepts, or integration patterns. Experience supporting Proof of Concept (PoC) initiatives. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Technical curiosity and ability to understand complex systems. Ability to manage ambiguity and drive clarity. Delivery-focused mindset.
